SOME WISDOM FOR A SUCCESSFUL CHRISTAIN LIVING

To live a successful Christian life, you need more than just “good advice.” You need Kingdom Wisdom. The bible tells us in Proverb 24:3-4, Through wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established…” It has always being a thing of admiration that kings fight wars, it takes a lot of boldness and courage. But what is more courageous and outstanding is winning a war without ever fighting. Solomon’s life showed to us that God can give you a wisdom that will help you navigate through life effortlessly. Solomon ruled by God’s given wisdom in his time without fighting a single war. 1Kings 4:24 “…and he had peace on all sides round about him…” , this doesn’t mean there was no provocation. This kind of victory went further in the life of Jesus: winning without fighting and overcoming life without stressing. Jesus was never found in an argument or strife. Even when he was in the midst of his crucifier, he overcame. He told us that his death was a submission. “… I lay down my life, that I might take it again. No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again.” John10:17-18(KJV). Quickly let’s dive into todays topic.

Here are the essential pillars of Christian living that will help you remain grounded, fruitful, and “Different.

1. The Principle of the Secret Place: Your public life for God will never be more powerful than your private life with Him. If you are only spiritual when people are watching, you aren’t living; you’re performing. God does His deepest work in the dark. Deep roots are grown where no one can see them. “But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret…” (Matthew 6:6).

Your secret place is where you get the deep revelation of Gods word for your life, it is where your boldness is developed, it is where your true loyalty to the cross is tested and prune, it is the place you get encounters. It is the place of covering. Ps 91:1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

What things you can do in the secret place;

a. Praying in the Spirit: set time (10-1hour or beyond) to stretch yourself in prayer.

b. Studying your Bible: Choose a particular book or numbers of chapters. You can choose to study two or more chapters daily. Get a pen and note to write down the revelations and instructions you got.

2. The Law of the “Daily Bread” “Give us this day our daily bread.” (Matthew 6:11) You cannot survive on yesterday’s revelation. Many Christians are spiritually malnourished because they try to live off a sermon they heard three weeks ago. You don’t eat once a month for your physical body; don’t do it for your spirit. Daily intimacy is the only way to maintain daily victory. You must seek and know what God is saying to you for each day.

3. Stewardship Over Ownership “Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.” (1 Corinthians 4:2) The moment you realize that nothing you have—your money, your talent, your time—actually belongs to you, you become free. You become free from selfishness. You are a manager of God’s assets. If God can get it through you, He will get it to you. Open hands receive more than clenched fists. You become free from the pressure to fix things that are beyond your control. God always wants us to be blessed and be a blessing to others, this is part of God’s mind given to Abraham in Genesis 12:3 ‘And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.’

4. The Power of “Selective Deafness”: If you want to hear the “Still, Small Voice” of God, you have to learn to turn down the volume of the world. You cannot be led by the Spirit if you are addicted to the “notifications” of the world. Do you want to hear from God? Do you want to overcome that besetting sin? you have to study your Bible and give listening ear to what God is saying. You are not missing out on the world; the world is missing out on what God is doing in you. “Be still, and know that I am God…” (Psalm 46:10)

5. The Armor of Grace: Wisdom is knowing that when you fail, God’s grace is the safety net that catches you—not so you can stay down, but so you can get back up.   A saint is not someone who never falls; a saint is someone who keeps getting up and heading toward Jesus.   “For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again…” (Proverbs 24:16) Many preachers are sensitive to this topic of grace because some congregation can misunderstand it. Grace is not a license to sin. Run to God if you have failed him in any way, His feet is where you can be saved.

Prayer: May God strengthen you through the whole journey of life in deeper wisdom, in Jesus name
