Are We Really In The End time

Hey, Ah ! Could it be true that we are approaching the end of all days as biblical prophecies declared? What are the clues around? For the Christian the rapture or second coming of Christ is a basic eternal truth, seeing that it was spoken emphatically by Jesus Christ (the Author of Christianity).

Though Jesus spoke about the rapture, many people are still sceptical about it. But for any true follower of Jesus, one must realize that every thing Jesus did or said are very important , this is because he is the express image of God, that means, when we see Jesus we have seen God the Father.

Hebrews 1:3 KJV
Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person…

John 14:11 KJV
Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake.

Some reasons why we believe Jesus is coming soon

  1. The signs of War: This happened to be the most prominent reason and sign people look out for. Jesus said in Matthew 24:6 ESV
And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet. Notice how it says, “the end is not yet”… This means that it the wars will be a sign to prepare our hearts for the other great event coming, JESUS return.
  2. Moral Failures: A World Growing Cold
The second clue involves a shift in the global “moral compass.” In his letters to Timothy, the Apostle Paul provided a vivid description of what society would look like in the “last days.” It wasn’t just about external disasters, but an internal decay of the human heart.
    2 Timothy 3:1-4 (ESV)
“But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive… heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control…

Today, we see a culture increasingly centered on “self” over service. When the boundaries of right and wrong become blurred and “good is called evil and evil is called good,” the Christian recognizes this not just as a social trend, but as a prophetic milestone.
  3. Faith Backsliding: The Great Falling Away
Jesus and the apostles also warned of a “falling away” or apostasy within the church itself. This isn’t just about people leaving the building; it’s about a departure from the core truths of the Gospel.
    1 Timothy 4:1 (KJV)
“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.”

In an age of “cafeteria Christianity”—where people pick and choose which commands to follow based on personal comfort—the warning of faith backsliding becomes incredibly relevant. We see a hunger for “itching ears” rather than sound doctrine, exactly as the scriptures predicted.
  4. Natural Disasters and “Birth Pangs”
Finally, Jesus compared the signs of His return to birth pains (Matthew 24:8). Just as labor pains increase in frequency and intensity as the moment of birth approaches, so too will the frequency of earthquakes, famines, and pestilences.
While these things have happened throughout history, the intensity and global visibility of these events in our modern era serve as a megaphone, shouting that the King is at the door.
  5. Conclusion: How Should We Respond? The goal of recognizing these signs isn’t to spark fear, but to ignite readiness. If the Author of our faith promised to return, and the clues are lining up, our response should be one of sanctification and mission.
The “End of Days” isn’t a funeral for the world, but the beginning of a glorious new chapter for those who are in Christ. The question isn’t just “When is He coming?” but rather, “Are we ready to meet Him?”
